Sióg: Away with the Fairies

November 4th - December 16th 2022

Sióg: Away with the Fairies Installation

Sióg: Away with the Fairies is a programme of theatre experiences exploring our connection to nature, believing in fairies, and the importance of having our ears to the ground.

In the heart of the forest, where magic is beginning to dwindle, the fairies are doing everything in their power to save the spirit of nature’s witch-The Cailleach.

This experience, located in the fairy trail in Tymon North park, is the third in the Sióg series- a free outdoor installation created with and for young people and their families.

A digital theatre experience:

Explore the magical world of the Fairies together as you look through our enchanted portal and knock on the fairy doors to see who’s inside! This can be experienced using AR technology-easy to access through the camera on your phone!

Outdoor visual art gallery:

Discover a decorative curation of art pieces including wind chimes, knitwork and woodcraft.

Supporting Biodiversity:

Down on the ground and up high in the trees you will find a collection of structures made to support biodiversity in the forest including bug hotels, bird houses and squirrel and bird feeders.

Scan the QR codes and meet the fairies of the forest!
