June 23rd, 27th and 28th 2024, Brookfield Youth and Community Centre Join Síle the Seal as she learns to be brave in a magical adventure...

Over the last few weeks we have been working with some young people age 9-15 to create a new piece of theatre using puppetry!

This piece is called Finding your Flock and it tells the story of a character who is feeling lost and finds a sense of wonder through birdwatching.

Come and check it out TODAY at 6:30pm in The Civic studio. Tickets are free!

Come see a free performance today made by young people in collaboration with our team of artists at 6:30pm in The Civic for our project Leaps and Bounds!

A 20 minute piece of theatre followed by post show chats!

Suitable for audiences age 6+

There’s also lots of other amazing activities happening across South Dublin as part of this national day of free creativity for children and young people!! 💕

Leaps and Bounds is part of The Civic’s program as part of Cruinniú na nÓg festival South Dublin

One strand of this program involved working with a group of young people age 9-15 in weekly workshops afterschool to create an original piece of theatre using puppetry!

Leaps and Bounds! 🎉

We’re so excited to be part of The Civic’s program for Cruinniú na nÓg festival South Dublin

As part of this program we facilitated introductory theatre workshops to 5th class students in St Aidans SNS and Scoil Maelruain Senior.

Together we explored puppet making and performance!

Today we started a really exciting pilot project: Stepping Stones!

In collaboration with The Civic, we will be working with 4 schools across South Dublin to introduce the craft of theatre making.

This pilot project is an exciting opportunity to encourage school communities to connect with and further engage with the arts.

Students will work together to write, devise, direct, design and perform original pieces of work which they will share on the main stage of The Civic in November!

Stepping Stones is supported through The Civic’s ongoing education program.
