What is Freshly Ground?

Freshly Ground Theatre is an arts organisation based in Tallaght, South Dublin. The partnership is between 4 freelance artists: Bronwen Barrett, Martha Knight, Michelle Henry and Vlad Gurdis who have been collaborating since 2018. Our work is grounded in community and socially engaged creative experiences with a focus on children and young people. We create work that is artistically ambitious, high quality, playful and meaningful. We are currently artists in residence at The Civic

One of our core programs is ROOTS, a youth artist development program supporting emerging creatives aged 12-21 to develop their practice and make new work. Tiny Theatre is a branch of our company that creates theatre experiences for Early Years audiences and their families.
