ANAM ÓG (YOUNG SOUL)
March - April 2022
ANAM ÓG (YOUNG SOUL), was a site-responsive piece created in beautiful Glenasmole, in collaboration with Glenasmole National School and the community of Glenasmole, as part of St Patrick’s festival 2022 and supported by the Saint Patrick’s Festival x TikTok Creative Fund.
Inspired by the myth of Tír na nÓg and situated in the valley where Oisín lifted the boulder, we created a series of moments along the Bohernabreena reservoir walk which encouraged you to imagine the possibilities of eternal youth. These moments used the words of the people we have worked with throughout this process, giving their ideas and thoughts on what it means to have a young soul.
This installation will remained in place for four weeks and was enjoyed at any time at the reservoir loop walk in Glenasmole.
