playGROUND
PlayGROUND was a programme of free theatre programme for young people!
In 2022, funded by Cruinniú na nÓg, we invited young people aged 4-18 to join us in a free 7- week theatre programme in Tallaght. Participants were introduced to the world of theatre through performance, script writing, devising, directing, sound design, improv and drama games.
Workshops took place over 7 weeks, from April 30th 2022 to June 11th 2022. We had 4 time slots during which the workshops took place; 11:00 - 12:00 (age 4-7), 12:00 - 14:00 (age 8-12), 14:00 - 15:30 (age 13-15) and 15:30 - 17:00 (age 16-18).

Participants are encouraged to attend all 7 workshops.
Venue: Workshops will take place in Tessa House, Cookstown Way, Tallaght.
Day/Time: Workshops will take place weekly on SATURDAY mornings and afternoons.
Cost: There is no cost to participate in this project. All workshops are completely free of charge.
Age: Participants will be divided into groups and attend workshops within their own age range. This is so we can design workshops to suit the abilities and interests of participants accordingly.
Experience in drama and theatre is not necessary to attend these workshops. However it is important that participants are enthusiastic, willing to get involved in activities and ideally have an interest in theatre and performing!
These workshops will be facilitated by artists within our company.
